Last night while we were waiting for the courtesy car to run to Radio Shack to get parts to make the new tuner work Anne Marie and Andre from Lecisa II, anchored near the marina, approached Gene and I. They asked how far it was to the grocery store. I said 6 km, Gene said it was closer than that. They looked startled and disappointed. I told them I'd take them with me when the car came back and explained they marina had a courtesy car but they couldn't use it unless they were registered with the marina. We piled into the car when it arrived and I dropped them off at Winn Dixie and I went to Radio Shack. I arrived back at the store a few minutes before they finished shopping and helped them load. We then stopped at an ABC store. When we got back to the marina they invited us to visit. We had a pleasant visit to their huge catamaran.
While in Beaufort we also met Al and Peggy Epstein and had cocktails with them. It wasn't until we exchanged boat cards we realized the we were both ham radio operators. Small world.
Departed Beaufort and arrived in Charelston, SC. Anchorage was very full so we had to pick up a mooring ball.
